SPONSORED PARENT 870

This is a temporary visa allowing parents to reunite with children and grandchildren by visiting Australia for up to 3 or 5 years per visa, up to a maximum period of stay in Australia of 10 years. 

This is a cost-effective and time-efficient option for families to utilise. 

This is a temporary visa. This visa does not lead to permanent residence in Australia. 

CONTRIBUTORY PARENT 

The Contributory Parent visa is a permanent visa requiring sponsorship by an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident child in Australia. Your family must meet the Balance of Family Test.

Department of Home Affairs lodgement fees are high as too is processing, due to capped and queued arrangements, of 6+ years. However, we can assist you with utilising Visitor visas to ensure that you can visit your children and grandchildren in Australia during this processing period.

AGED PARENT

The Aged Parent visa is a permanent visa requiring that you meet the age requirement; have an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident child in Australia to sponsor you; and your family meets the Balance of Family Test. 

Processing times for this visa are significant.
